Teacher Training Programs Supported by NYC Ʒ߿

NYC Ʒ߿ is committed to providing accessible pathways to certification to aspiring teachers of all backgrounds. We partner with local colleges and universities to prepare candidates for high-need schools and subject areas, like bilingual education, math, science, and special education.

Program benefits include financial support, flexible coursework, mentorship, and hands-on teaching practice.

Teacher Training for Career-Changers or Recent Graduates

Earn certification with financial support. These programs are for anyone who holds a bachelor’s degree in a major other than education.

Complete a rigorous pre-service training in the summer and begin teaching full-time in the fall. Earn a subsidized master’s degree.

Apprentice with an experienced teacher for the fall semester and begin teaching full-time in the spring. Earn a subsidized master’s degree.

Learn More

Gain student teaching experience while you earn a masters’ degree. Candidates complete 1,000 hours of clinical experience and receive a $30,000 annual stipend.

Take your work with students to the next level. These programs are for educators who already work with students in school support roles.
