Our History

The NYC Teaching Collaborative is a rigorous teacher preparation program designed to equip aspiring educators with the skills and experience needed to thrive in New York City’s highest-need schools. Since its launch in 2012, the Collaborative has trained thousands of teachers through an immersive, hands-on residency model that pairs participants with experienced mentor teachers.

Collaborative alumni are making a lasting impact across the city. Many go on to become instructional leaders, coaches, and school administrators. Their commitment to equity and excellence continues to shape the future of education in NYC classrooms every day.
