Partner Teachers are placed in high-need schools where their talents can make the greatest impact—especially in communities with large populations of multilingual learners and students with disabilities.
Partner Teachers and principals must both agree on the match—there are no central assignments.
You’ll receive access to job postings, hiring events, and resume/interview workshops.
The residency model ensures you enter the classroom with real experience, strong mentorship, and a clear path to certification.
NYCPS teachers are part of the United Federation of Teachers (UFT) and receive competitive salaries and benefits.
Many of NYC’s underserved schools are in the Bronx. We believe students in the Bronx deserve well-resourced schools, qualified teachers, and an education that propels them to success. To accomplish that, we’re recruiting Partner Teachers committed to giving Bronx students the support they need to achieve their goals.
